Listing & Managing Animals

To create a new animal listing, navigate to My Animals and select "Add Animal". The listing process is divided into three steps: Identity, Services, and Lineage. You must complete Step 1 before proceeding to subsequent steps.

In the Identity step, provide the following details:

• Species: Dog, Horse, or Cattle.
• Breed: select from the breed list or type to search using fuzzy matching.
• Name: the animal's registered or common name.
• Sex: Male or Female.
• Date of Birth: used to calculate age on the listing card.
• Colour / Markings: a brief description of the animal's physical appearance.
• Description: a detailed description of the animal's characteristics, temperament, and breeding history.

In the Services step, configure how you offer breeding services for this animal:

• Service Type: choose from Live Cover, AI Straw, Embryo Transfer, or General Inquiry.
• Service Fee: set a fee in pence/cents for the service. This is the amount that will be shown to interested parties.
• Location: the location where the service is provided. This can differ from your profile location.
• GPS Coordinates: optionally pin the precise location using GPS.
• Visibility Tier: select the access level required to view this listing (Public, Verified, Premium, or Elite).

In the Lineage step, document the animal's ancestry and credentials:

• Sire: link to the sire's animal record on the platform by searching by name, or leave blank if not registered.
• Dam: link to the dam's animal record on the platform, or leave blank.
• Registration Number: the animal's registration number with the relevant breed society.
• Titles & Awards: notable titles or competition results.
• Health Tests: record health screening results relevant to the breed.

After creating a listing, you will be redirected to the animal's edit page where you can upload photographs. Use the image upload grid to add multiple photos. The first photo will be used as the cover image on listing cards.

Visibility tiers control which users can see your listing in search results:

• Public: any signed-in user can view the listing. Suitable for animals you wish to market broadly.
• Verified: only users with the Verified Breeder badge (Premium and above) can view the listing.
• Premium: only Premium plan subscribers and above can view the listing.
• Elite: only Luxury subscribers can view the listing. Suitable for high-value or exclusive breeding animals.

Higher tiers reduce your audience but increase the quality and seriousness of enquiries.

All your listings are accessible from My Animals. From this page you can:

• Edit: update any field across all three steps of the listing form.
• Archive: hide the listing from search results without deleting it. Archived listings can be restored.
• Delete: permanently remove the listing and all associated data.
