Getting Started with Prized Lines
Create your account and set up your profile to begin using the verified breeding marketplace.
Creating Your Account
Navigate to the sign-up page and register using your email address. You will be asked to verify your email before your account is activated. Once verified, you will be prompted to choose an account role during the onboarding flow.
Three roles are available: Searcher, Lister, and Both. Your role determines which features are available to you and how other users see your profile.
Choosing Your Account Role
Searcher accounts are for users looking to find suitable breeding partners for their animals. Searchers can browse listings, send match requests, and communicate with listers. They cannot create animal listings.
Lister accounts are for breeders who wish to advertise their animals. Listers can create and manage animal profiles, receive match requests, and configure service fees. They can also view the Lister Dashboard for analytics on their listings.
Both accounts combine all Searcher and Lister capabilities. This is the recommended role for active breeders who both advertise their own animals and seek partners for others.
Completing Your Profile
After selecting your role, complete your profile to build trust with other members of the platform. The following fields are available:
- Display Name: the name shown publicly on your profile and beside your listings.
- Kennel / Stud Name: your registered breeding operation name, if applicable.
- Bio: a brief description of your breeding focus, experience, and approach.
- Location: enter a location manually or use the "Use GPS" button to detect your coordinates automatically.
- Profile Photo: upload a photograph via the media section of your profile page.
A complete profile significantly increases the likelihood of successful match requests and connections with other breeders.
Your First Steps After Sign-Up
Once your profile is set up, visit the Discover page to browse the marketplace. Use filters to narrow results by species, breed, sex, or location radius.
If you are a Lister or Both account, navigate to My Animals and create your first listing using the three-step form. Once published, your animal will appear in search results for other users.
